Bechtle and Freudenberg IT Sign Cooperation Agreement

Bechtle and Freudenberg IT (FIT) have entered into a cooperation agreement whereby Bechtle Managed Services AG will take over certain predefined services for FIT's workplaces (domestically and abroad) and outsourcing projects for customers. The contract retroactively takes effect in January 2013 for a duration of five years. Laying the groundwork for a long-term collaboration, the partnership enables both parties to expand their range of services for medium-sized enterprises.

Bechtle Reports Revenue Increase in First Quarter

In the first quarter of 2013, Bechtle AG generated revenues of €514.0 million, an increase of 5.4 per cent. Apart from the domestic system houses, the European e-commerce companies also made a disproportionately high contribution to the revenue growth. At €14.5 million, earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were 16.0 per cent lower than in the prior year. This figure was greatly impacted by the substantial headcount increase in the financial year 2012. As of 31 March 2013, the group had a total of 5,959 employees, 375 more than in the corresponding prior-year quarter.

Bechtle AG: Increased Revenue, EBIT Down from Previous Year

According to preliminary figures, Bechtle AG’s revenues climbed to 514 million euros in the first three months of 2013, an increase of approximately 5 per cent (previous year: 487.6 million euros). The company's operating profit (EBIT) for the same period is approximately 14.5 million euros (previous year: 17.2 million euros).

Bechtle Switzerland Acquires Sedna Informatik

Bechtle Schweiz AG has expanded its system house business and bolstered its competence in the areas of IBM infrastructure and virtualisation by acquiring Sedna Informatik AG. Founded in 2004, systems integrator Sedna Informatik is headquartered in Gümlingen, close to Bern, and employs 17 people. Its decision to fuse with Bechtle Bern was motivated by a desire to benefit from the potential synergies as quickly as possible. Sedna Informatik's managing director, Stefan Ellenberger, will remain in his current position and join Bechtle Bern's managing director, Jolanda Geringer to form a new management team.

Bechtle Strengthens Position in Collaboration Competence.

Bechtle AG has acquired Viritim Systemhaus GmbH, strengthening its position in the software and application solutions business with additional competence in the field of collaboration. Founded in 2001 in Karlsruhe, the IT system house specialises in the growing market for SharePoint and Exchange technology. Viritim, who employs ten experienced consultants, will merge with Bechtle subsidiary HanseVision. Dirk Becker and Jürgen Krummer, Viritim's managing directors, will remain with the company and join HanseVision's management team. The newly acquired team of specialists will move into new offices at the Bechtle IT system house in Karlsruhe.

In the fiscal year 2012, Bechtle AG’s revenues surpassed the two-billion-euro mark for the first time. Revenues increased 5.1 per cent from €1,994.9 million in the prior year to €2,096.8 million in the reporting period.

Bechtle Receives VMware Global Partner Award

Bechtle received the Global Partner Award in the category "Infrastructure Virtualisation Competency Partner of the Year" at VMware 2013 Partner Exchange event, held on 26 February in Las Vegas, USA. Roland König, head of the virtualisation division at Bechtle AG, accepted the award, which signals VMware's recognition of Bechtle's high level of competency in the field of virtualisation.

Bechtle AG reports strong Q4/2012

Once again, Bechtle AG was able to wrap up the 2012 business year with record figures in the wake of a very strong final quarter. Both revenues and earnings in the fourth quarter were considerably higher than the previous year’s figures, marking it the most successful quarter in the company’s history.
