Heading for Diversity.

Diversity is key—for successful teams, for rewarding customer relations, for an effective approach to the market, and, ultimately, for a company’s own sustainability. It’s something that our society has become increasingly aware of and that is bearing more and more fruit in organisations. And Bechtle is no different.

We are more than 12,800 employees from over 100 nations in 14 European countries. We are One Bechtle—and we know the sky’s the limit. This is why Bechtle is on a journey to even more diversity and equal opportunity.  

It’s not news that Bechtle believes in equal opportunity and stands against discrimination—be it on the grounds of gender and gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion or world view, ethnicity or nationality, illness or disability. This fundamental principle is firmly anchored in the Bechtle Code of Conduct. As a signatory to the German Diversity Charter, Charta der Vielfalt, and the UN Global Compact, we make sure our stance on diversity is visible to external stakeholders.

This is reflected in various campaigns that we have been driving for years, especially for the advancement of women, for example the annual Girls’ Day or female mentorship. This year, we’ve added more initiatives to the list that bring us closer to our goal of more diversity and equal opportunity.


Diversity team and diversity community.

At the Bechtle headquarters in Neckarsulm, we have appointed an interdisciplinary diversity team which is working with Human Resources, People Development and Corporate Communications on a structured analysis of the status quo and defining KPIs to track our progress. Our current focus is on gender equality, but a sounding board is also looking at the other diversity categories. We’re growing a diversity community across all locations, connecting employees and sharing experiences. Following a shared Gender Diversity 2022 roadmap we are raising awareness of the issue among all employees and especially leadership across various fields of action.



Target Gender Equality accelerator programme by the UN Global Compact.

Scientific basis and international dialogue: We participated in the Target Gender Equality accelerator programme by the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest initiative for sustainable and responsible corporate governance and has been joined by more than 13,000 companies. The Target Gender Equality programme enables facilitated performance analyses in participating companies, provides access to the latest data and research and promotes a multi-stakeholder dialogue at the country level. A valuable base for implementing measures at Bechtle.




Let’s Connect – Partner workshops with Dell technologies and Google

Astonishing demand: After the pilot workshops exclusively for women in autumn 2021 were met with enormous interest, we have scaled up the offering in cooperation with our partners, Dell Technologies and Google, and integrated it into the Bechtle Academy catalogue for all employees. Interested people of all genders now have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills in personal branding, self-marketing, resilience and networking



Release Your Potential empowerment programme.

Making the next career step in nine months: Woman@Bechtle – Release Your Potential is a programme that prepares women for a leadership or expert career. Coaching, mentoring and a strategic project promote the participants’ development. 13 employees from seven Bechtle companies in Germany and Switzerland are participating in the first round of the programme.
