  • Media jury honours Bechtle in the "Performance" category
  • Prize awarded by Lünendonk GmbH and Maleki Group
  • The executive board dedicated the prize to Bechtle's employees and founders

Bechtle receives performance award.

Neckarsulm/Frankfurt, 22 May 2012 – On 21 May 2012 at the festive gala in Frankfurt, Bechtle AG received the Business-to-Business Service Award 2012 in the category "Performance". This year, the IT service and trading company was one of three honourees.

The lifetime achievement award from Lünendonk GmbH, Kaufbeuren, and the Maleki Group, Frankfurt was given to Dr Hermann Simon, the sixty-five-year-old economist, philosopher and founder of the management consulting agency Simon-Kucher & Partners, Bonn. Rödl & Partner, a Nuremberg company which provides consulting, auditing and IT services, received the prize for innovation. "With these annual awards, we'd like to honour companies and entrepreneurial personalities who have made great achievements and set new standards in the market for high-quality business-to-business services," says Thomas Lünendonk, owner of Lünendonk.

Values win over nomination team and jury.

In his speech honouring Bechtle, Jörg Hossenfelder, managing director of Lünendonk GmbH, emphasized Bechtle's consistently impressive growth since 1983, saying that the company had set the right course at the right moment. But it was also Bechtle's guiding principles and strong values that made a lasting impression on the nomination team and the jury. Jörg Hossenfelder placed special emphasis on the Bechtle values—integrity, determination, reliability and inspiration—which belong in every company's set of values.

Bechtle owes prize to employees and founders.

Dr Thomas Olemotz, COO of Bechtle AG, said in his acceptance speech: "First and foremost, we owe this performance award to our employees, who have been delivering top performance for nearly 30 years now. The award also honours the great entrepreneurial achievement of the two founders, Ralf Klenk and Gerhard Schick, who came together as the driving force of Bechtle, with solid business ethics and the clear, strategic goal of sustainable growth.

Media jury votes for honouree.

The honourees were nominated by the companies Lünendonk and Maleki. A high-profile media jury then chose the three honourees from the list of nominees, voting independently by secret ballot. The jury consisted of 13 chief and financial editors of various media: ARD/Hessischer Rundfunk, Augsburger Allgemeine, Automobilwoche, Bayern 5 aktuell, Computerwoche, Deutsches Anleger Fernsehen DAF, Frankfurter Allgemeine, Handelsblatt, HR Info, Stuttgarter Zeitung, Wirtschaftswoche and ZDF.
