Project objectives.

In replacing Microsoft Exchange, AAP wanted to reduce administration costs—especially in the Exchange environment—and simplify licence procurement. The AAP IT team were also looking for more flexibility in terms of maintenance and expansion, as with the development of aspects such as a SharePoint platform. However, it was the reduction of internal and external helpdesk tickets that AAP regarded as the most important function of the new communication platform.

Solution.

By choosing Microsoft Office 365, AAP Lehrerfachverlage GmbH decided to switch completely to the cloud. The  Bechtle Cloud Services team incorporated the entire Exchange Organisation into the Office 365 cloud. For complete migration from Exchange to Office 365, Bechtle first performed a migration test to check the e-mail flow between the internet, the cloud and its own network before moving the employees' mailboxes to Office 365.

It had become labour-intensive and expensive to use Exchange.   We were looking for a way to overcome both of these challenges that would also provide us with a new communications platform. Thanks to competent and flexible consultations and Bechtle's Exchange expertise, we have found a tailor-made alternative in Microsoft Office 365.
