The total solution DaF/DaZ digital is geared in particular towards school operators or schools that offer language courses.

A large number of children and young people in Germany desperately need help learning German. Schools often offer special language courses, in which teachers give intensive language training. The teachers are often faced with enormous challenges because of the large mix of students from different cultures and backgrounds and with different native languages und differing German language skill and proficiency levels.

The Goethe-Institut and the Apple Solution Experts have put together a comprehensive solution, the DaF/DaZ digital, to help young students of the German language quickly and sustainably acquire German language proficiency:

  • DaF/DaZ teacher training (blended learning)
  • Course curriculum with digital lesson scenarios
  • DaZ suitcase with iPads and accessories, Wi-Fi with LTE-capable router

DaF/DaZ digital – language training with iPads

The objective of DaF/DaZ digital is to help those enrolled in language classes to learn the language more quickly and to remember what they’ve learned long term. The total package consists of:

Teacher training

  • 3x individual logins to tutored online training for DaF/DaZ digital offered by the Goethe-Institut, 8 weeks duration, approx. 40 hours methodological, didactical advanced training for German as a foreign language, target group in particular German and foreign language teachers, course content chosen in unison with Apple Professional Learning in-class training –
  • In-class training in media education by Apple Education Trainer, for a total of 4 days, for iPad-supported instruction in language learning classes, content chosen in unison with the online advanced training DaF/DaZ digital of the Goethe-Institut, based on the curriculum German as a foreign language, for elementary or secondary school (this in-class training can also be organized on your own initiative)„

DaZ suitcase with iPads and accessories

  • Optional: Setup of all devices and user accounts with the consent and co-operation of the licensee – for example – Apple IDs, VPP (Volume Purchase Program) and DEP (Device Enrollment Program)   for the immediate start in the language lesson–
