Highlights, experiences, moments – An insight into the life of a IT Specialist for Systems Integration at Bechtle.

Ready for my traineeship highlights? Be your best with Bechtle. Find out everything I experienced during my first months. Hi, my name is Kaan and I started my vocational training as an IT Specialist for Systems Integration at Bechtle Karlsruhe in September 2021.

Even during my school days, I know that I wanted to work in IT, and as I was looking for the perfect company to do my vocational training, I stumbled across Bechtle. Thanks to the AzubIT initiative, I was able to find out a bit about the various training and study places available at Bechtle and gain a look behind the scenes at the company through the AZUBIT blog and Instagram.
Eight months have now passed since I started and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Bechtle was the right decision for me! Why? Bechtle is a future-proof employer with a whole heap of perspectives. Working on a level playing field, the collaboration and modern working environment round off the whole package.
I’m currently working at Bechtle Karlsruhe, which is home to the following departments.
- Training
- Digital Workplace Team
- Maintenance and Repair, Service & Logistics
- PMO ( Project Management team)
- Internal IT
- Sales
- Service Desk.
The first department I gained experience in was Maintenance and Repair, Service & Logistics, where we took care of under-warranty repairs, processed warranty claims for the manufacturer and also supported installations for the customers. From day one of my traineeship, I was given a lot of responsibility repairing customer devices and even driving to their premises to help with the installation of hardware and software. I was, of course, not by myself, but had a colleague from the department with me. It’s not just the work helping me to grow, but also the coffee breaks that are giving me the opportunity to discuss various topics and network with others.
In February 2022, I moved to the Digital Workplace department, which I’d been looking forward to since the start of my traineeship as this is where everything revolves around the latest tech. We advise our customers and sell the products such as Microsoft Teams Rooms conference systems, Surface Hubs and much more. My traineeship also covers a look at the world of augmented and virtual realities.
As I mentioned before, I had been able to experience the highlights of my Bechtle traineeship before I started thanks to digital technology and that made me wanted to become a part of the AzubIT team. It’s voluntary for all trainees and students and is a fantastic opportunity to get to know other Bechtle trainees and represent Bechtle on social media.
