Veeam Cloud Connect connects to existing Veeam backups in the Bechtle Cloud. The backups are written via secondary backup jobs directly into the cloud and can be picked up from there at any time. You determine how they will be used and define the configuration. The backup data is compressed, encrypted and then transferred encrypted again.

 

Veeam WAN-Accelerator: Still-faster backups.

Veeam WAN Accelerator uses caching, data compression techniques and fingerprints for data blocks of variable length in order to store the backup data for your virtual machines up to 50 times faster. No agents, special applications or dedicated hardware are required for this. Duplicate data blocks are stored temporarily and referenced via a global cache instead of transferring them again. This significantly reduces bandwidth usage.
