Signing off, looking back and new beginnings.

The written exams are done and the orals finally behind me, so now I have a bit of time to look back over the last three years.

Vocational training: IT Systems Business Manager

It all started back on 1st July 2017—my first day at Bechtle Bielefeld.
Three years on, I can look back at smile at how nervous I was getting to know my new team. I was warmly welcomed into the Bechtle family and am really happy that I was able to complete my training here. After introductions, I attended the big Mikado onboarding event where we were introduced to the AZUBIT Initiative.

AZUBIT became an important part of my time at Bechtle. I gained an insight into how a corporation handles public relations, how colours, fonts and certain keywords are meticulously analysed and used, but also how important the next generation is to Bechtle.
I can only recommend this look behind the scenes and the opportunity to play an active role as this brought me more into contact with other trainees from all over Germany than the numerous seminars I had already attended did.

Thanks to my work with AZUBIT and the varied tasks in the different departments, my traineeship really flew by. I learned how to handle a wide range of customer situations, which processes are needed in the background to process seemingly simple orders, and what’s involved to send IT hardware to the other side of the world. At the same time, I was learning the theoretical foundations of business and IT processes at college, which I sometimes found to be helpful in my private life as well.

Now I’m facing the next big challenge—making the switch from being an Azubi to doing “real” work.
For me, that means not only moving to another system house, but also to a new town.

However, as I’ll be working for Bechtle direct, from a work point-of-view, not much will change.

I hope my blogs and Instagram stories gave you a good insight into training to be an IT systems management assistant.

We are looking forward to receiving applications from young motivated people who are interested in a career in the future-oriented IT industry.

On that note,

good luck!
