Vocational training: IT Systems Business Manager

I recently attended another seminar and would like to tell you a little bit about it. A small group of us joined an external trainer to get to grips with the subject of hardware. Although I’d already covered it, it was nice to have the opportunity to consolidate my knowledge and ask specific questions and, thanks the small group, the trainer was able to give quite detailed answers.

I bet some of you have fiddled around with a computer. Maybe you already know a bit about what you’re doing. If you don’t, no worries. I was also clueless before I started my training.
(Plus, these days opening up a computer and swapping out parts is becoming more complicated.)

The aim of the seminar was to learn:

  • 1) Details about the individual components and how they work
  • 2) The components’ application areas
  • 3) How the components work together
  • 4) Sustainability and prognosis

Point one covered the different types of computers and their inner workings and I was especially pleased that we didn’t just have to look at pages of numbers, but were able to discuss their pros and cons as these are exactly what the customer wants to know when deciding which product to go for.
The trainer's many years of experience provided us with an in-depth insight into the development of the individual components, plus he’d brought a lot of them with him, some of which had been disassembled so that we could see how they were constructed.

The other aims are pretty self-explanatory, but if you have a question, please add it to the comments.

In summary, all I can say is that this seminar was absolutely worth it. Both the visit to the headquarters at Bechtle Platz 1 and the atmosphere in the seminar were great and I felt I could learn a lot.

So, don’t forget to get in touch if you have questions! Have fun!
