Microsoft Ignite II - How companies structure their "knowledge".
“Microsoft is investing in knowledge” was one of the central messages of Ignite. A look told us exactly what they meant with this. The journey to reproduce your infrastructure in the cloud has many benefits. Financial savings and optimisation of your processes, for example. But the cloud also opens the door to employ new scenarios previously not possible. With increased use of AI in Microsoft 365, it’s even easier to identify and organise “knowledge”. The focus is on deploying the right information at the right time. Productivity does not just depend on handling information more efficiently, but also being able to use it correctly. The second part of my blog is therefore about knowledge.
At Microsoft Ignite in Orlando, the company’s best and brightest met with partners and other interested parties to discuss everything from cloud infrastructure, management and Big Data to the Internet of Things and the Modern Workplace. I’ll be presenting the new developments over four blogs and will explain what they mean for our customers. I’ll kick things off with a huge topic—productivity.

“No one can whistle a symphony. It takes a whole orchestra to play it” goes the quote from Halford E. Luccock. What Microsoft presented there sounds like the Berlin Philharmonic and opens the door to a modern and productive way of working. This blog entry will give you an overview of the new devices. On Wednesday there will be a follow up entry exploring the new opportunities in context.

Windows 7 & Office 2010 – End of support for your company.
Support for Windows 7 and Office 2010 will be coming to an end on 14 January 2020 and 13 October 2010 respectively: This means that Microsoft will only provide program and security updates to those customers who have purchased extended support. Modern, digital workplace requirements can no longer be fulfilled with the end of support at the latest. However, this also gives companies the opportunity to take a step towards the future of work. The time to take act is now ...
