With the unexpected announcement of Project Cortex, the first fully independent and newest service in Microsoft 365 since Microsoft Teams was announced, AI forms the basis here for a central knowledge network to be used within the organisation. Project Coretex ensures that the right information and content is arranged into topics in order to make relevant content accessible and reusable with topic cards.
Project Coretex let you display content and business relevant information in an interactive knowledge databank and analyse documents to create relevant meta data for demanding content modules. Project Coretex also makes it possible to retain relevant key information and data from meetings, conversations, documents, and videos and work them out in context. Building on the content already in SharePoint, Project Coretex links content between Microsoft 365 and other external systems, enabling you to use this in a targeted manner, and optimise processes with integrated security and compliance in addition to workflows.
Yammer has had a complete redesign, and now boasts dozens of new features to connect people, build communities, and share content within organisations. The new Yammer creates a modern, more simple, and finally a platform-neutral user experience and now lets you integrate with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook.
Yammer also now offers the option to manage events directly, live, or on-demand via platforms and so use optimised production options that use webcams and desktop sharing. In the Yammer Mobile App, you can now directly link videos. Management, e-discovery, data management, and administration have finally found their home in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
Microsoft Search went unnoticed for a long time, principally due to the often scorned Bing Search and less than successful in-app search function in SharePoint. The updates in the pipeline together with those already available boost and simplify productivity while also providing more targeted information, insights, and people quicker.
Part I - Focus on productivity
A key feature of Microsoft Search announced is the new option to search within documents, files, and content across application boundaries, identically, transparently, and—very importantly—independently of each other with exactly the same end result. Microsoft has recognised that searches work best if information and content from all corporate areas can be pooled together for searching. With more than 100 new connectors from Microsoft and other partners, results from various systems can be viewed in a single Microsoft 365 search.
And the coolest feature: Microsoft Edge—the new Chromium—lets you access Microsoft Search directly from Bing Search. Making the internet into an intranet. One search bar for every search.
