HanseVision has blossomed from a handful of SharePoint specialists to a successful company with 6 locations and 90 employees and has been part of the Bechtle Group for the last 8 years. 20 September marks the 20th anniversary of the Hamburg company. It’s a good excuse for a glittering party and high time for us to introduce our northern star.
The company was founded in 1999 by Lorenz Göbel in the Hanseatic city and just three years later, HanseVision published the first German SharePoint guide, establishing itself as an expert in the Microsoft collaboration tool Little wonder then, that HanseVision became one of the first top SharePoint partners in Germany as early as 2006 and, as Microsoft Gold Partner, remains closely linked to the vendor’s technology even today. After a succession of joint projects, HanseVision joined the Bechtle Group in 2011. “We’re an excellent fit for Bechtle, and I know that we can benefit significantly from one another. We see ourselves as a strong team in a strong alliance”, summarised Lorenz Göbel in 2011. And he couldn’t have been more right. Since then, both companies have benefitted greatly from synergies and cross-selling effects.
The companies haven’t looked back since then: In 2013, HanseVision took over the Viritim systems integrators in Karlsruhe and Stuttgart, acquiring extensive expertise in the field of migration from IBM Lotus Notes to Microsoft Exchange in the process. A short time later in 2015, HanseVision merged with Redmond Integrators thus creating one powerful team from two companies that had shaped the SharePoint landscape in Germany from the very beginning. Under the leadership of Sven Maier, HanseVision continued to develop to become a holistic workplace allrounder. “Mobile working, solutions in and outside of the cloud as well as a digital workplace offer a cornucopia of possibilities that enable companies to become more successful, We see ourselves as a trusted advisor for our customers. But, we don’t just offer advice. We also implement projects ourselves”, stresses Sven Maier.
Today, the specialist for digital collaboration employees 90 staff in Hamburg, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Neckarsulm, Munich and Bielefeld. Highly-qualified teams help business and public-sector customers leverage the full potential of mobility, cloud computing and the digital workplace using Microsoft’s collaboration platform. As a four-time Microsoft Gold Partner, HanseVision supports its customers in the technical implementation of Office 365 collaboration tools combined with Wizdom Intranet, Nintex and Azure. However, it’s not just introducing new technology that leads to success. It’s equally important for HanseVision to take change management and, increasingly, user adoption into account. “As an Office 365 workplace specialist, we have a team that can also support customers with the less technical aspects. With user adoption, we ensure that the user isn’t forgotten about which optimally and uniquely complements our technical expertise”, says Sven Maier.
