It’s official: Bechtle direct UK is the best company to work for in Wiltshire. James Napp and his 75-strong team came out on top against six other businesses at a gala dinner at Centre Parcs, Longleat Forest near Bath. 400 guests attended the event, which honours the outstanding achievements of the county’s dynamic business community. The new category of Best Business to Work For was introduced to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Wiltshire Business Awards and recognises businesses that have cultivated an environment in which their employees feel valued and are happy to work.
James Napp, Managing Director, Bechtle direct UK, accepted the award, saying: “We strongly believe that if we care for our people and our partners, that they in turn will provide excellent service to our customers and help to improve their businesses through innovative IT solutions. By focussing on providing opportunities for learning and progression, fun incentives, mentorship, collaboration and importantly, celebrating success, we have enabled a culture which ‘lives’, and is sustained through the passion and drive of our colleagues. As a business, we are always in learn-mode and many of the best ideas and feedback come directly from our teams.”
Success continued with the judges presenting Bechtle with the most coveted award of the evening— Outstanding Excellence—which is given to the business that demonstrates success and achievement across all aspects of their organisation. This includes having an outstanding business plan, a positive business culture and an excellent working environment. Bechtle was shortlisted along with 15 other companies.
The judges said: “Having impressed judges with their growing success over the five or so years they have taken part in the Wiltshire Business Awards, it was a particular honour to present our Outstanding Excellence award to Bechtle UK. This year, the Chippenham-based tech team pipped their worthy competition to the post as they smashed their own financial targets, expanded their innovative solutions portfolio and reaped the rewards of investing in staff development.”
