Taking place at Center Parcs, Warminster, the Wiltshire Business Awards are an annual event attended by over 500 people that gives the opportunity for businesses within Wiltshire to make a name for themselves by earning one of the prestigious awards.

The first gong of the evening was the Medium Size Enterprise Award. Having been shortlisted along with 5 other businesses, it was an immense achievement for Bechtle to claim the coveted award from sponsor, Nat West. The award was given to the business that provided a strong business plan for the future along with innovative marketing and sales strategies. The winner also had to provide evidence of development and commitment to staff.

Managing Director, James Napp was absolutely delighted. He said: "One of the biggest accolades you can get is when people come into your business and they say what a good job you are all doing and we are delighted to be receiving this award tonight. It is a real pleasure to go and work with these guys every day so thank you so much to all the team."

We have entered the awards for several years and last year we were runners up so we are delighted to get it this year. We moved into a purpose-built head office in Chippenham five years ago, so it is really only the start for us - we have much bigger ambitions. It is an exciting time for Bechtle.

Digitalising the construction industry.

While there is broad consensus in the construction industry that digitalisation is the way of the future, surprisingly little action is being taken. Large construction firms and planning offices are well on their way, but small and medium-sized firms—which make up 95 per cent of the industry—are finding it difficult to get started. Most of them are stuck deciding how best to optimise their investment while minimising risk, taking into account their specific circumstances. But taking a business digital doesn’t have to entail an enormously complex project. So how does one go about it effectively?

A vision to behold.

What is it that drives a company to success and motivates employees to give their all? A clear vision. Visions are gleaming aspirations calling out to us, sparking enthusiasm, encouraging and inspiring us. What starts out as a beacon of light in the distance eventually becomes an attainable goal within our reach. Our path is shaped by the confluence of vision and strategy—both focused on a desire to transform.
