It’s always a pleasure to see the success of a company reflected not only in the figures in its ledgers, but also by the recognition it receives. In September 2016, Bechtle accepted not one but two prestigious awards presented by capital-market institutions.
The success of a company’s share is not measured solely by its trajectory. The capital market also celebrates dividends – a payout that lets shareholders enjoy the fruits of prosperity – when they show consistent growth. Bechtle’s dividend, for instance, has been increased six years in a row. In September 2012, Bechtle received the DividendenAdel Award from the German stock exchange and independent research platform DividendenAdel to honour the steady growth of our dividend since our IPO 16 years ago.
The expert panel comprised renowned wealth managers, fund managers, analysts, researchers and capital market experts. All of them view the award as a seal of approval indicating long-term dividend quality and recognising shareholder-friendly dividend policies.
Hauke Stars, a Deutsche Börse AG board member, presented the award to Martin Link, head of investor relations at Bechtle, at a ceremony hosted by the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. It was a truly a tremendous honour to receive.
This award evidences the consistently high standards of our joint IR efforts at Bechtle. We would never have been able to achieve it without the Group’s accounting team in Gaildorf as well as our many other internal and external partners.

The next round of recognition followed just three weeks later. In the Investors’ Darling ranking, Bechtle reached second place among TecDAX companies and 16th overall of 160 DAX companies (DAX, MDAX, SDAX and TecDAX), putting us ahead of several notable firms.
The ranking, conducted by the business publicationmanager magazin and the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management evaluates not only half-year and annual reports, but also investor relations (IR) presentations and online IR information. In addition, the opinions of analysts and fund managers are also solicited. All of these criteria ensure that the final ranking is a comprehensive reflection of the quality of financial market communications.
“This award evidences the consistently high standards of our joint IR efforts at Bechtle. We would never have been able to achieve it without the Group’s accounting team in Gaildorf as well as our many other internal and external partners,” comments Mr Link.
Anyone with €12.90 to spare 12 years ago would have been wise to invest the sum in Bechtle stock – which is now worth more than €100. That’s a return of over 700 percent.
