The artist Alex Dragulescu specialises in the visual representation of malware. His tools? The programming codes found in computer viruses, spyware, worms and trojans. The resulting images and animations resemble living organisms – fascinating, beautiful and alive.
They’re everywhere and they’re dangerous. More than 700 million – far more! – different computer viruses are currently circulating in cyberspace. Some 390,000 malware signatures are unleashed every day.
And their methods are ever more cunning. Over the past ten years, hacking has become a complex industry in its own right—both lucrative for cyber-criminals and unstoppable.
