REMINDER: Microsoft Consistent Global Pricing Announcement

On 5th January 2023, Microsoft announced that they are taking several steps to ensure greater price harmonisation for cloud products across the globe. This will ensure that all customers worldwide have more closely aligned pricing compared to the USD rate. 

 

Starting 1st April 2023 Microsoft Cloud prices will be adjusted in EUR, GBP, SEK, NOK, DKK to allow for local currency fluctuations and move towards more consistent global pricing.

 

How much will prices change?

  • British Pound (GBP): +9%
  • Danish Krone (DKK), Euro (EUR) and Norwegian Krone (NOK): +11%
  • Swedish Krona (SEK): +15%

Now Live: Updated Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA)

As of March, there is an update to the MCA to improve the flexibility to update terms as needed in the future, align to broader changes and future-proof for new offers.

 

The updated MCA applies to all new customers as of 1st March 2023. Existing customers will see a notice in their Microsoft Admin Center and Azure portal that a new agreement version is available. Acceptance of the new agreement for existing customers is currently optional.

Yammer is Evolving to Viva Engage

Microsoft have announced that in the coming year Yammer will become Viva Engage and Yammer as we know it will go end of life. The first change takes place in March with the updating of the Communities app for Outlook and the Yammer mobile apps for iOS and Android to the new Viva Engage app.

 

There is currently no change to pricing or capabilities available to existing customers.
