The desk-based worker works both at the office and from home. They require the best possible network connection to their colleagues and customers. Their tools of the trade are a notebook, a webcam and a headset. Instead of working at a fixed desk, they make use of hot-desking workplaces. The desk-based worker has a full workplace set up at home. In addition to a docking station, keyboard and a mouse they also have monitor, headset and other accessories, such as a webcam and USB hubs. Working hours are flexible, depending on appointments with colleagues and customers.
