Over 1,600 customers, vendors, partners and employees got the latest on IT developments as well as Bechtle’s range of products and services at this year’s IT fair, which was held under the motto “We drive IT”.

Neckarsulm, 9 April 2014 – This year’s Bechtle-hosted IT fair—the compa-ny’s largest of its kind—proved once again to be very popular among IT managers. The IT forum focused on hot topics such as the dynamic data centre, the workplace of the future and cloud computing, offering a wide spectrum of presentations and demonstrations. More than 1,600 visitors turned out—the highest attendance in the event’s ten-year history. “Every year, more and more customers come out to the Bechtle Competence Centre Days to stay abreast of the latest IT technologies and developments. That shows that it has become a perennial event for ever more IT managers,” comments Gerhard Marz, Head of the Public Sector Division, Bechtle AG.

Practical Business Solutions: Professional Dialogue and Presentations.

The event featured some 50 stands where over 150 experts from different companies within the Bechtle Group provided their expertise on a range of topics including mobility, software, virtualisation, Bechtle managed services, IT security and IT infrastructure. Visitors got the chance to see live demonstrations, experience the workplace of the future first hand, and visit their choice of 60 popular presentations offering an in-depth look at tech-nical and strategic topics. IT security captured the most attention, with ex-pert presentations exploring the various aspects involved in protecting cor-porate IT. Nine different customer presentations on joint projects with Bechtle were also well received, and many visitors took the opportunity to check out the Bechtle shared service desk and IT control room, as well as the ultra-modern warehouse.

High-performance Cars and Core Values: Visitors Rave about Fair’s Theme.

To go along with this year’s motto, “We drive IT”, the CC Days event of-fered an up-close look at some impressive, high-performance race cars. Visitors got a glimpse into the life of a race-car driver and had time to pose for the camera. Bechtle welcomed German motorsport star Ellen Lohr to speak on the importance of communication in building championships. Her talk, titled “Communication as a pillar of success”, highlighted how the core values of team spirit and trust apply to both motorsport and business alike. “We fully share Ellen Lohr’s sentiment that core values such as integrity, determination, reliability and inspiration are essential to competitive success. These are the values we live by, as displayed here in our open and honest interaction with customers at the Bechtle Competence Centre Days,” asserts Dr Thomas Olemotz, CEO, Bechtle AG. “The exceptional popularity of Bechtle’s IT fair coupled with the positive customer resonance are a great indication that we’re moving in the right direction.” The purpose of the Bechtle Competence Centre Days is to showcase Bechtle’s wide range of services and strengths at an up-close and personal venue.
