Le schede grafiche sono sviluppate per portare a termine enormi quantità di operazioni parallele. L'efficienza viene misurata in FLOPS (numero di operazioni in virgola mobile al secondo) e raggiunge oggi alcuni teraFLOPS. L'utente vede un'immagine fluida di una simulazione 3D complessa. L'individuazione di pattern tramite algoritmi dell'intelligenza artificiale è un altro esempio. Troverete nel Bechtle Online Shop una scheda grafica adatta a ogni campo di applicazione. L'offerta è ampia e include anche le schede grafiche della categoria più alta, con l'ultimo chip grafico ed elevata capacità di memoria (32 GB). Troverete però anche dei modelli semplici per l'utilizzo standard.

Le prestazioni grafiche richiedono il coordinamento di molti componenti.

Il processore grafico e la memoria grafica costituiscono i criteri principali per la selezione di una scheda grafica ad alte prestazioni. Ma vi sono altri fattori da considerare. È importante soprattutto il rapporto con gli altri componenti del computer. Chi si decide per una scheda grafica di fascia alta, deve optare per una CPU con quattro o più core nonché con un'alta frequenza di clock. Lo stesso vale per i collegamenti della scheda madre. Se non è disponibile sufficiente potenza, la scheda grafica non sarà in grado di fornire il massimo delle sue prestazioni. Infine, sono importanti anche il monitor, la risoluzione, la fedeltà del colore nella riproduzione delle immagini ed eventualmente anche delle dimensioni.

Schede grafiche e accessori.
