Large-format displays are conquering the digital signage market.

Until recently, displays up to 98 inches were limited in the digital signage sector. Everything beyond that had to be divided into several screens or solved by using projectors and LED walls. Today, however, 115-inch displays open up completely new possibilities. Whether large reception areas, showrooms or eye-catching advertising: the new 115-inch cameras close the gap between classic displays and much more expensive LED and video wall solutions. At the same time, the demand for digital signage is increasing: In Europe, the market is growing by almost 8 percent every year. The Samsung QH115FX Smart Signage Display is one of the few 115-inch devices currently available on the market.
A new display class is emerging.
With a screen diagonal of 115 inches, there is now a new device category in the field of monitors. Until now, companies have mostly resorted to elaborate video walls or other solutions for their billboards or showrooms because the professional market did not allow for individual displays over 98 inches. In practice, this meant additional planning, installation and integration effort for each slightly larger LED and video wall. With the newly released 115-inch displays, however, large, continuous screen areas can now be displayed on a single device – whether upright as an advertising space or horizontally as an information or presentation board. In addition, the displays look much more lively with their razor-sharp images. Moving content becomes an event for the viewer, attracting attention. This means that they can be detected more quickly, even at a greater distance. This is changing the nature of corporate communication in reception areas, showrooms and retail.
For big performances.
The 115 inches of the Samsung QH115FX impressively show the potential of this new size class. With its unusual screen diagonal, it replaces the much more elaborate LED and video walls – and is designed for 24/7 operation. The large screen area ensures good visibility even at a distance, and the modern Quantum Mini-LEDs Pro with a size of only one fiftieth of conventional Samsung LEDs create razor-sharp images. The brightness of 1,000 cd/m² also supports display in brighter environments. This is particularly interesting for heavily frequented public spaces in retail, for company entrances. Also exciting for open offices and bright sales areas: The anti-glare surface and an optimized Haze level reduce annoying reflections and ensure clearly displayed images and text. The large viewing angle of 178° also supports perception from different directions – especially important when people are simply walking past the displays. What's more, the 4K UHD resolution displays images, videos and presentations sharply even on this screen size. Content appears detailed, clear and of high quality. After all, it is decided in a fraction of a second whether a product or a presentation arouses interest.
More impact, more variety.
Thanks to its special size, the new display class not only has more space, it can also be used differently than conventional displays. Because in the background of every digital signage display – no matter what size – there is always a smart content ecosystem of hardware, software and content management systems at work. This makes digital signage one thing above all: flexible. The content on the Samsung QH115FX Smart Signage Display can therefore also be exchanged at any time or updated with just a few clicks. They can be controlled across several locations, campaigns can be played out according to location or mobile devices can be easily integrated into meeting rooms – without the hassle of plugging in cables. It is precisely such functions that simplify digital life that drive the growth of the market , making it easier than ever to implement personalized promotions or visitor information. And with a size of 115 inches, it also displays and sees better.
AI supports digital signage.
But the flexibility of digital signage solutions doesn't stop with agile content management. For example, artificial intelligence integrated into the software and hardware makes personalized advertising possible – for example, through the analysis of visitor flows, automated target group adaptation or time-of-day content. AI-supported digital signage solutions can display content based on data and provide companies with additional insights into the impact of their campaigns. Queue management, for example, shortens the perceived waiting time and thus improves customer satisfaction by up to 30 percent. The display itself, on the other hand, uses AI for image optimization. With its integrated smart technology, the Samsung QH115FX automatically improves image sharpness, reduces image noise and intensifies black reproduction. The integrated 4K AI Upscaling Pro also automatically upscales small images and optimizes them to the screen size. Additional display modes such as Director Mode or DICOM Simulation Mode support the application-specific display of content. The result: balanced and high-quality images that also impress on large screens.
The future of communication.
One thing is clear: 115 inches is a new class of displays that give companies additional options for communication, presentation and brand staging. At the same time, large-format LED displays are becoming more and more economically attractive and are thus advancing into areas that were previously reserved for LED solutions. But it is also clear that hardware and software must develop hand in hand for sophisticated digital signage solutions. Interfaces, IoT connectivity and integrated service infrastructures are a must-have for any size of display. This is exactly where Samsung' s 115-inch display comes in: The cloud-based Samsung VXT platform can be used to plan, distribute and manage content across locations. At the same time, administrators can centrally monitor displays, adjust configurations or troubleshoot remotely. With SmartThings Pro, displays also become part of networked IoT environments as well as an integrated communication platform. This shows that the future of digital signage does not lie solely in larger displays or higher resolutions. Rather, the decisive factor will be how well and easily content can be created, managed and networked with other systems on a device instead of large screen installations. The new 115-inch class already shows where modern digital signage solutions are heading.
