Challenge.
80+ security-related aspects in the IT infrastructure analysed.
Fischer Reinach has relied on Bechtle's IT expertise for years. But how well is the company actually equipped to defend itself against cyber attacks? What specific improvements could be made? Fischer Reinach wanted a well-founded answer to this question. To this end, the entire IT environment was to be examined – from local networks and cloud systems to organisational security guidelines. And as objectively as possible. After all, the company didn't just want to know the current level of maturity of its IT. It wanted to get to the heart of the matter: identify vulnerabilities transparently and highlight security-critical areas. Appropriate recommendations for action were to form the basis for even greater security.
Solution.
Fischer Reinach wanted to know exactly where it stood – and Bechtle took a close look at its IT. The CIS v8 framework served as a guideline for the cyber security assessment to check all security-related aspects. The focus was on all details of the network, end devices, cloud environment and the entire identity management system. All technical and organisational aspects were put to the test, from end devices to the Microsoft 365 environment. What made this different was that, in addition to technical scans and analyses, Bechtle's experts also spoke directly with the IT team. How does security work in practice? Where are there gaps? Which processes work and which don't? The result was a detailed report – plain language instead of technical jargon. Risks were sorted according to criticality and effort. And then? Together with Bechtle, Fischer Reinach developed a roadmap.

We had a great collaboration with Bechtle. And the support in our day-to-day work was also fantastic. We are a small IT team at Fischer Reinach AG and, thanks to the cyber security assessment, we were able to consolidate our IT security situation and draw the management's attention to key issues.
