Snapdragon X Series for modern businesses – The future of computing.

From smartphones to AI PCs: Qualcomm is defining the future of work.

Qualcomm has been synonymous with groundbreaking innovation for nearly 40 years. With the Snapdragon® X Series, they are now ushering in a new era of high-performance PCs that are perfectly tailored to the requirements of modern businesses.

Qualcomm began its AI journey in 2007 with the first Qualcomm® Hexagon™ DSP on the Snapdragon platform – the basis for later neural processing units (NPUs). With the introduction of the Snapdragon X Elite and Snapdragon X Plus in 2024, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. ushered in a new era: processors that enable ultra-mobile high-performance computing, energy-efficient AI processing and the Copilot+ experience.

The Snapdragon X Series represents a new class of AI-powered PCs that are ultra-portable, always connected and optimised for hybrid workforces. By integrating the CPU, GPU and NPU on a single chip, AI applications that once required cloud infrastructure can now run locally, revolutionising the PC landscape.

Without a chip, nothing works.

Snapdragon X Series processors bring data-intensive and AI-based applications to life with their tightly integrated SoCs, which run quickly and simultaneously on the device without draining the battery.

AI PCs boost productivity in the workplace by optimising tasks such as writing emails, organising files and even analysing large data sets. Because AI processing takes place directly on the device, businesses benefit from faster response times and improved data protection. At the same time, users benefit from AI that learns and adapts to their behaviour – and continuously improves over time.

The architecture makes the difference.

By integrating the Qualcomm Oryon™ CPU, Qualcomm® Adreno™ GPU, Hexagon NPU, Qualcomm® Sensing Hub and a large, shared memory subsystem, Snapdragon platforms intelligently distribute tasks to specialised engines. Each component focuses on what it does best, delivering a seamless, responsive experience.

This architecture forms the basis for a new class of computing platforms that power a range of Copilot+ PCs for the AI era.

Compatibility that keeps everything running.

Qualcomm Technologies understands that businesses depend on applications – and the Snapdragon X Series delivers. Together with Microsoft, hundreds of the most widely used Windows applications have been identified to deliver exceptional performance on devices running Snapdragon X Series platforms, either natively or in emulation.

Native application development for Windows on Snapdragon has tripled in the last year and accounts for over 93% of the time users spend on Windows PCs. And the PRISM emulator covers the majority of the remaining apps that users spend the most time on.

Windows 11 for devices powered by Snapdragon.

Qualcomm Technologies' collaboration with Microsoft optimises Windows 11 for devices with Snapdragon. This allows users to benefit from AI-accelerated user experiences, superior performance, longer battery life, lightning-fast connectivity and intelligent security.

With Windows 10 support ending in October 2025, Copilot+ PCs will become even more important. Companies should therefore make the decision to switch to Windows 11 early on to minimise the risk of security vulnerabilities, compliance and operational issues, and supply bottlenecks.
