Bechtle and HP: Technologies that change the world —
in the office and in the great outdoors.
Together with HP, we are working towards a future that is more sustainable and more responsible. The HP Amplify Impact programme brings partners from across the globe together to actively contribute to protecting the planet, supporting people and developing communities. We are proud to be part of this initiative – and in 2024 our involvement earned us the HP Amplify Impact **** Partner recognition. In 2025 we have strengthened our commitment and are aiming for a five‑star rating.
Volunteering activities.
Sustainability for us is not just about technology, but also about concrete actions. In autumn 2024 we joined the Ukliďme Česko (Let’s Clean Czechia) initiative, where, together with colleagues, we helped clean part of a Prague park. It was an opportunity to actively contribute to nature conservation while strengthening team spirit.
A major part of our sustainability story is the Bees on Rooftops project, through which we installed a beehive on the roof of the HP building in Prague. Each year we hold a honey harvest on this occasion, which has become a lovely tradition. In September 2025 we organised the second edition — even richer in inspiration, customer meetings and shared enthusiasm for sustainability.
HP's sustainable technologies.
Just as in our volunteer activities we look for ways to contribute to a better future, our commitment to sustainability also informs the technologies we offer customers. The new HP EliteBook 1000 Series demonstrates that modern IT need not force a choice between performance and responsibility. These laptops are made from recycled and reclaimed materials — from up to 90% recycled magnesium, through 30% ocean plastic in the speaker frames, to fishing nets recovered from the seas. Each device therefore helps conserve natural resources and reduce the waste that might otherwise end up in the ocean. The emphasis on sustainability is also evident in the devices’ design. The EliteBooks are built to be “second‑life ready” — with an easily replaceable battery and new refurbishment services they can remain in service longer than the typical IT lifecycle. For customers this means not only a lower carbon footprint, but also cost savings and less strain on IT departments. And because they come with higher performance as standard, businesses can be confident that their technology will withstand the demands of today’s fast‑moving work environment without frequent replacements.

Bridging the two worlds.
We believe genuine impact arises where volunteering activities intersect with everyday technological decisions. Trees, beehives and park clean‑ups are beautiful symbols of our efforts. But real change comes when every new device within a company helps reduce its carbon footprint. That is precisely what HP products enable.
