There still needs to be some research into how recycled and dyed polyester, such as that used in this product, can itself be recycled and reused to give the raw material a third and even fourth life. That's why even today (July 2022), only 15% of polyester used in textiles has been recovered from recycled products, in particular recycled PET bottles.
