Mägenwil/Neckarsulm, 14 January 2019 – Hanspeter Oeschger has become the new Executive Vice President for Bechtle IT System House & Managed Services Switzerland. The former Managing Director of IT system house Bechtle Steffen stepped into his new role at the beginning of the year, assuming responsibility for overall strategic and operative orientation of Bechtle’s IT system houses in Switzerland. An additional reshuffle on the various boards further strengthens the cooperation between the Bechtle Group companies on the Swiss market.
“The key to further increasing the very good momentum in our system house business lies in the tight intertwining of our broad spectrum of services and competences. Over the past two years, Hanspeter Oeschger has demonstrated his exceptional acumen in this regard, as is evident in the outstanding position of Bechtle Steffen,” says Michael Guschlbauer, COO, IT System House & Managed Services, Bechtle AG.
The merger of Bechtle’s Swiss IT system houses with Steffen Informatik in 2016 created one of the country’s leading IT service providers, with a total of nine branches in the all major economic regions. As of 1 January 2019, Bechtle Steffen Schweiz AG’s management board was made up of Christian Speck, Markus Oeschger, and new member Roger Suter, who also heads software specialist Comsoft direct AG. Mr Suter co-manages Comsoft direct with Mr Speck, which further deepens the collaboration among the various system houses. Moreover, Benjamin Suter and Christian Speck, in their role as Managing Directors at Bechtle Steffen IT Service, as well as Léo Prado, Managing Director at Bechtle Steffen Suisse now report to Executive Vice President Hanspeter Oeschger.
This new appointment to the post of EVP of the Swiss system houses ends the interim position of Gerhard Marz, who added the role to his responsibilities as EVP of the Bechtle Group’s Public Sector division in 2014. “The past few years have been a great experience. I’ve been especially impressed by the passion and dedication with which our employees engage with their customers—all pulling in the same direction. It’s great to see how the idea of a strong community has been brought to life in a range of activities, such as the extremely successful Bechtle IT Forum Switzerland,” says Gerhard Marz.
