Ethical business practices.

Integrity is the foundation of how we do business.

Ethical and responsible business conduct underpins everything we do at Bechtle. We act with integrity and transparency and in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. We expect the same standards from our partners and suppliers. At Bechtle Netherlands, ethical business practices are shaped by three closely connected priorities.  Together, they ensure that integrity is not just a principle, but something that is actively put into practice.

  • Supply chain sustainability
  • Compliance and anti-corruption
  • Social commitment

Supply chain sustainability.

Responsibility throughout the entire value chain.

A significant part of our environmental and social impact lies with our suppliers and partners.

That’s why we take responsibility for sustainability across our entire value chain. We work to uphold human rights and environmental standards within our supply chain by setting clear expectations for suppliers, identifying risks and engaging in active dialogue on improvement and collaboration. Our focus is on transparency, continuous optimisation and working together to raise social and environmental standards across the chain.

What we do in practice
  • We define clear minimum requirements for suppliers, set out in our Supplier Code of Conduct.
  • We identify and assess risks within the supply chain relating to human rights and environmental standards.
  • We maintain structured dialogue with strategic suppliers.
  • We work towards a sustainable procurement strategy in which social and environmental criteria are factored into decision‑making.
How we ensure this is embedded
  • Responsibility across the value chain is integrated into our procurement processes.
  • We carry out ongoing monitoring and regular reviews.
  • We align with internationally recognised frameworks for responsible business conduct, such as the UN Global Compact and the OECD Guidelines.

Compliance and anti-corruption.

Honest, transparent and compliant.

Bechtle operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and upholds high ethical standards. We do not tolerate bribery, corruption or conflicts of interest in any form. We provide clear guidelines, raise awareness and offer training so employees understand what is expected of them. We also have reporting procedures in place that allow actual or suspected misconduct to be raised safely and confidentially. In this way, integrity remains an integral part of our day‑to‑day business operations.

What we do in practice
  • All employees are bound by the Bechtle Code of Conduct.
  • We provide regular compliance and integrity training, with additional focus on roles exposed to higher risk.
  • We have clear procedures in place to prevent conflicts of interest and corruption.
  • We offer a confidential reporting mechanism for actual or suspected misconduct.

How we ensure this is embedded
  • Clear governance structures and internal controls.
  • Regular review of policies and procedures.
  • Ongoing awareness‑raising as a core element of our corporate culture.

Social commitment.

Making a positive contribution to society and local communities.

We believe that responsible business goes beyond our own organisation.

That’s why we actively contribute to the communities and regions in which we operate. Our social responsibility activities focus on long‑term initiatives that align with our role as an IT service provider, such as strengthening digital skills. We deliberately seek long-term partnerships and support initiatives in which our employees are actively involved, rather than one‑off or ad‑hoc activities. In doing so, we aim to contribute sustainably to local communities and regional development. Our social engagement focuses primarily on:

  • Digital skills and media literacy
  • Equal opportunity for young people
  • Regional talent development
In practice.
  • Working with Brainport Development on digital skills

We contribute to educational programmes that introduce young people to IT, technology and professional practice, helping them prepare for a digital future

  • Promoting media and online literacy with Playing for Success Eindhoven

Bechtle employees deliver guest lessons on media literacy and online awareness for children aged 9 to 14, supporting the development of digital skills and self‑confidence.

How we ensure this is embedded
  • A focus on long‑term partnerships rather than isolated initiatives.
  • Ongoing employee involvement as a fixed element of our approach.
  • Strong alignment with our core values and IT expertise.

Reporting and insights.

A transparent approach to ethics.

Further details on our ethical approach can be found in our reports and policy documents. These describe how we conduct business with integrity, take responsibility across the value chain, and actively contribute to society and local communities.
