Two awards for Bechtle customer magazine

Bechtle update wins Silver International Creative Media Award and German Designer Club Award
Double-barrelled recognition of excellent corporate publishing

The customer magazine, Bechtle update, won over the jury of the International Creative Media Award (ICMA) and the Gute Gestaltung 2019 design competition. This year, the silver ICMA award in the B2B Customer Print Magazine category and one of the Deutsche Designer Club (DDC) awards for Publishing have gone to Bechtle’s hardcopy publication. The renowned awards honour the successful concept and the creative presentation of the company and the latest buzz in technology.

The 10th ICMA International Editorial Design & Research Forum in early December saw Bechtle update rake in silver against a field of highly polished B2B customer magazines, one of the main categories of the annual awards show. 427 publications from 26 countries were submitted to the ICMA this year, breaking all previous records. On 22 November, the Bechtle customer magazine had already been recognised with DCC’s Gute Gestaltung 2019 award in the Publishing category for the first two 2019 issues of the magazine.

First published in 2005, three issues a year of the German-language publication bring IT decision makers and other stakeholders up to speed on what’s going on in IT and at Bechtle. waf.berlin adds a creative, modern finish to the news, stories and other vibrant content, blending value and readability with recognisable branding. Bechtle update is printed on paper certified to FSC standard, is climate neutral, and available as a free subscription. Since 2016, an online magazine has been complementing the print edition with extra digital content.
