Bechtle quantum.
What is it about?
The Competence Centre Quantum Technologies at Bechtle IT-Systemhaus Bonn offers customers comprehensive services in forward-looking areas that will significantly change the IT landscape. In addition to protecting IT systems with quantum-secure solutions, the focus is on the rapid and sensible use of new quantum technologies in customer-specific environments.
The range of services includes, for example, providing access to all relevant and technologically promising quantum computers via the cloud, the distribution of quantum hardware, initial support and the establishment of quantum computing services, and even the takeover of entire IT processes and services. The aim is to integrate the new technologies into existing processes, not only in the IT sector. To this end, the team has expanded existing partnerships to include quantum technologies and established new collaborations with relevant manufacturers, start-ups and service providers, proactively and sustainably building on these partnerships.
A reference example:
In a project launched in 2024 with the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University Kaiserslautern-Landau RPTU (Optimisation Working Group, Department of Mathematics), Bechtle IT System House Bonn provides quantum computing capacities via the cloud on IQM Resonance and AWS Braket. The Bechtle team of experts advises on the selection of technology for various algorithms, handles onboarding to the platforms and access points, and supports the customer with specific use cases in the area of various optimisation problems and benchmarking.

A quantum leap in security – Quantum-safe IT.
Quantum computing and artificial intelligence are changing the rules of the game.
Encryption methods that are secure today may be vulnerable tomorrow. Our whitepaper explores how to future-proof your cryptographic systems, plan a strategic transition to post-quantum cryptography (PQC), and take meaningful steps towards crypto agility.
Don’t wait until your data is exposed.
The threat is no longer theoretical. Attackers can intercept encrypted data now, store it, and decrypt it later using quantum computers. This risk affects every organisation that handles sensitive customer information—not just those operating critical infrastructure, and acting early gives you a decisive edge in security.
What does this mean for your business? As quantum threats become more tangible, organisations face new challenges across IT, compliance and leadership. Long-term data storage becomes riskier, and the effort required to analyse and migrate existing systems continues to grow.
What you’ll gain from our whitepaper:
- A clear understanding of how quantum computing threatens today’s encryption standards
- Practical ways to strengthen your organisation’s response to emerging threats
- Insight into PQC algorithms that are already ready for deployment
- Guidance on building and prioritising a crypto inventory
- An overview of quantum-resistant solutions available from Bechtle
