Bechtle AG is committed to making its digital platform, bechtle.com, as accessible as possible. In order to achieve this, we follow recognized international standards for digital accessibility, in particular the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. For us, digital accessibility is a fundamental part of our responsibility as an IT service provider. Our goal is to provide all users – regardless of individual abilities or limitations – with equal access to the digital products and services on bechtle.com.

We view accessibility as a key quality criterion in our ongoing development process. We consider aspects of digital accessibility in the planning, design, and implementation of our digital platform.

This includes, among other things:

• considering accessibility in conceptual and design decisions,
• raising awareness among the development teams involved,
• and using automated testing tools in combination with additional manual testing.

Whenever possible, new content and features are designed, implemented, and further developed to be accessible from the very beginning.

The website www.bechtle.com is currently partly compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA. Despite our ongoing efforts, there may still be some limitations in certain areas.

These include:

• content where structure or semantic markup is not always clear for assistive technologies,
• some functions or areas that may be difficult to use with screen readers or only with a keyboard,
• images and graphics where alternative text still needs to be added or improved,
• some forms or controls where labels need to be improved,
• third-party content or components where we have limited control over accessibility.

We are continuously working to improve these issues and reduce existing barriers step by step.
