Local authorities are under growing pressure to digitalise services while coping with skills shortages and increasingly complex requirements. AI and process automation offer new opportunities to simplify administrative processes, improve resilience and provide better services to citizens.
Using a real-world example from the Goslar district, we’ll show how local authorities can automate administrative workflows in compliance with data protection requirements and use AI in a practical, targeted way to reduce workloads and support employees in their day-to-day work.

From hype to practical implementation.
Local authorities are expected to meet growing demands with increasingly limited resources. At the same time, citizens expect convenient digital services, while complex IT environments, regulatory requirements and growing volumes of data add further pressure. The question is no longer whether local authorities should automate, but how.
But where do you start? Which tasks and processes are actually suitable for automation? And how do you balance efficiency with security and data protection?
Our webinar, “Administration at its limits? How AI and process automation create new opportunities”, addresses exactly these questions. On 11 November 2026 at 11:00, our experts will discuss current challenges, present practical approaches and provide exclusive insights into a successful automation project in the Goslar district.

- How local authorities can automate processes step by step
From theory to practice: the Goslar district’s journey.
Together with Bechtle, the Goslar district has taken a practical approach to AI and process automation, from identifying a suitable use case and defining the process through to selecting the right technology and successfully delivering a pilot project.
Join Maik Urbansky for an exclusive live demonstration and discover what successful implementation looks like in practice. Drawing on the Goslar district’s experience, he will share the key lessons learned, the challenges encountered and the insights gained along the way.
What you’ll take away from this exclusive webinar:
How to remain effective despite skills shortages by automating routine tasks and deploying specialist expertise where it adds the greatest value.
How to preserve and share institutional knowledge through standardised, documented processes, helping new employees become productive more quickly.
How to improve efficiency through shorter processing times, fewer errors and more transparent workflows.
How to strengthen resilience through digital processes, enabling your organisation to continue delivering reliable services even under challenging conditions.
