Bechtle Platz 1

Bechtle guidelines for partner press releases.

Bechtle encourages its partners to share news about joint achievements, innovative projects and successful customer engagements. Partner press releases help bring these stories to a wider audience and demonstrate the value our collaboration creates for customers and the market.

Any press release that references Bechtle must be coordinated with and approved by Bechtle’s Corporate Communications team before publication.

Editorial guidelines.
Content and roles.

Your press release should focus on your company, your solution or offering, or the joint customer project.

  • Describe Bechtle’s role in the announcement accurately and objectively.
  • Be transparent about the nature of the collaboration.
  • Avoid wording that overstates or misrepresents Bechtle’s role.
The Bechtle logo.

The Bechtle logo may not be used in partner press releases or related press materials. Any exception requires Bechtle’s prior written approval.

The collaboration.

To ensure consistent communications, please avoid terms that imply a specific level or form of relationship with Bechtle, such as:

  • “strategic partnership”
  • “strategic partner”
  • “alliance”

Instead, use neutral descriptions such as:

  • “collaboration”
  • “cooperation”
  • “joint project”
  • “[company] works with Bechtle”
  • “supported by Bechtle”
Quotes.

Quotes should add meaningful value to the press release and help explain the significance of the announcement for customers, business partners or the market.

Where quotes from both companies are included, the publishing company’s quote should appear before the Bechtle quote. Individuals quoted should also hold comparable positions within their respective organisations. For example:

  • Managing Director and Managing Director
  • Head of Department and Head of Department

Bechtle’s Corporate Communications team has final approval of all quotes and selects the appropriate Bechtle representative to be quoted.

Please note that quotes may not be reused in subsequent press releases without Bechtle’s approval.

Boilerplate.

If your press release includes an “About Bechtle” section, please use the following wording exactly:

A leading European IT provider, Bechtle AG helps private and public-sector organisations advance their digital transformation. Founded in 1983, the company employs more than 16,000 people and reports a business volume of approximately €8.6 billion. Bechtle AG is listed on the MDAX and TecDAX indexes.

Please do not shorten, amend or rewrite the boilerplate.

Review and approval.

Any press release that mentions Bechtle, includes a quote from Bechtle, or refers to a collaboration with Bechtle must be submitted for review prior to publication.

Approval can only be granted on the basis of a complete draft. Individual passages, quotes or excerpts cannot be reviewed or approved separately. Please submit your draft at least seven working days before the planned publication date to:

presse@bechtle.com

To help us review your submission, please include the following information:

  • Full press release draft
  • Planned publication date
  • Planned distribution (regional, national or international)
  • Planned social media communications
  • Any changes made since Bechtle’s previous review, clearly marked in the draft

If any changes are made after approval to content relating to Bechtle, quotations or other key statements, please resubmit the revised version for review.
