Neckarsulm, 14 June 2021 – Bechtle has agreed to a partnership with Fairphone to market the company’s products in several European countries. Located in the Netherlands, the company pursues a sustainable strategy that encompasses a smartphone’s entire lifecycle. Bechtle counts as one of the first sales partners on the IT market to supply its corporate and public sector customers with Fairphone models.
“The collaboration with Fairphone underscores our aspiration to integrate new innovations and give our customers greater choice. Fairphone’s clear and dedicated approach to sustainability was the catalyst for us to include an appealing alternative in our product portfolio,” says Ascan Collier, Managing Director, Bechtle Logistik & Service.
The modular smartphones are made from sustainably sourced materials and the company aims to continually improve working conditions along the supply chain. Fairphone is the one and only smartphone company to have been awarded the Fairtrade Gold certificate. The Android devices are offered with long-term support and regular security updates, and thanks to zero-touch registration, they can quickly and easily be integrated into existing Enterprise Mobility Management solutions.
“The subject of sustainability is increasingly high on the agenda in the IT industry, not least because of important initiatives such as the EU Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and we are experiencing first-hand how companies are setting ever greater store in this area when making purchasing decisions. As a market leader and pioneer in all things sustainability, Fairphone is very proud of its European partnership with Bechtle and sees it as a crucial stepping stone towards bolstering its sustainable portfolio in the enterprise segment. We are looking forward to working together to make our industry more sustainable than ever,” says Bram van Campenhout, Head of Partner Sales, Fairphone.
