Neckarsulm, 28 July 2025 – Bechtle has once again secured a win in a nationwide public-sector tender. Following last year’s successful bid for a framework agreement with its technology partner, Appian, for the provision of low-code platform licences, Bechtle has now also been awarded the contract to supply implementation resources for related digitalisation projects. The new agreement is valued at approximately 450 million euros over a four-year term, with the option to extend for a further two years.
The award enables public-sector organisations to source a complete end-to-end service package from a single partner—covering everything from licensing, development and rollout to operation, continuous improvement and quality assurance of applications built on Appian’s low-code platform. The offering fully meets current requirements for IT security, accessibility and seamless integration into existing IT infrastructures. It gives public bodies across all federal, state and local levels in Germany comprehensive and scalable access to low-code technologies that support the accelerated development of digital applications and automated processes.
“The combination of attractive licensing conditions, a leading technology platform and our experienced implementation experts makes this offering extremely valuable across all levels of German public administration. With Appian’s low-code platform, administrative workflows can be flexibly implemented and optimised without the need for extensive programming,” says Christian Rupert Maierhofer, Head of AV Software Solutions 360°, Bechtle IT System House Bonn.
The Bechtle Competence Centre for software development, AV Software Solutions 360° (AVS), played a key role in securing both contracts. As the central implementation partner, AVS is also responsible for managing the collaboration with eligible public-sector bodies.
“We are accelerating the digital transformation of German authorities. Our low-code platform is helping drive public-sector digitalisation forward and meet increasing demand more efficiently. Our technology combined with the extensive implementation capabilities of our partner, Bechtle, means citizens and authorities alike benefit from optimised and fast digital processes,” says Manuel Melles, Regional Vice President Partners, North & Central EMEA, Appian.
