Neckarsulm, 27 November 2025 – Bechtle AG has signed two new framework agreements with ProVitako e.G., Germany’s central procurement agency for municipal IT service providers, securing nationwide delivery of HPE network and server products and related services. Each agreement runs for an initial term of one year and includes the option to extend up to three times for an additional year, bringing the total contract volume to up to €501 million—approximately €283 million for network and €218 million for server solutions. ProVitako consolidates the ICT requirements of its 55 members, which together represent around 9,000 municipalities across Germany. With this renewed collaboration, Bechtle is strengthening its longstanding and successful partnership with ProVitako, with its IT System House Westfalen-Niederrhein taking the lead in delivering on the framework contracts.
“We’re delighted to continue our nationwide collaboration with ProVitako and HPE and for the renewed trust placed in us. These contracts give eligible organisations the opportunity to realise complete data centre and networking solutions with Bechtle—driving forward future-ready strategies that support the digital transformation,” says Michael Guschlbauer, COO, Bechtle AG.
The contracts awarded in 2025 ensure a seamless continuation of previous agreements, enabling eligible institutions to procure HPE network and server products efficiently and on standardised terms.
“The new framework contracts mark a key milestone for our members, enabling them to continue sourcing key infrastructure components—such as those from HPE—centrally through the cooperative. The significantly expanded scope of these contracts reflects both rising demand and the success and value of ProVitako as a central procurement body for public-sector clients in the municipal market,” says Karl-Josef Konopka, CEO of ProVitako e.G.
“Our goal is to effectively and sustainably accelerate digital transformation in public administration in close partnership with ProVitako and Bechtle—delivering everything from ultra-secure connectivity to high-performance data centre solutions for on-premise AI,” says Katja Herzog, Managing Director and Head of Networks at HPE Germany. “With the successful acquisition of Juniper Networks, we can now offer the public sector even broader support for its digitalisation initiatives.”
