Neckarsulm, 14 September 2026 – Bechtle Additive Manufacturing Deutschland has acquired Kaut-Bullinger GmbH & Co. KG’s 3D printing business. Through the asset deal, the Bechtle Group is further bolstering its market-leading position by adding established customer relationships, a highly qualified and experienced team, and existing HP manufacturer and partner agreements, while also broadening Bechtle’s portfolio with services for HP direct customers in Germany and Austria. The acquisition brings together Bechtle and its largest competitor in the German HP 3D printing market, while also building the company’s presence in Austria. With the sale of the business unit, the long-established family-owned company Kaut-Bullinger is withdrawing entirely from the 3D printing sector. Globally, the Bechtle Group is HP’s leading partner for 3D printing.
With the acquisition of Kaut-Bullinger’s 3D printing business, Bechtle Additive Manufacturing is further strengthening its leading position in the HP 3D printing market while expanding both its customer base and installed systems footprint. The acquired business brings an established presence in a growing market, extensive application and service expertise, and a substantial installed base of systems, providing a strong foundation for continued growth.
By integrating the company into Bechtle’s existing organisation, sales, service and administrative structures can be leveraged efficiently, synergies realised and utilisation of existing capacities further increased. At the same time, the transaction is creating additional opportunities to expand business with existing customers and further grow recurring revenue from services, care packs and consumables, all while reinforcing the long-standing partnership with HP.
“With Bechtle, we have found a strong partner that is ideally positioned to successfully drive the long-term development of the 3D printing business, and provide customers, employees and partners with a promising future as part of our strategic realignment. We are confident that customers will benefit from Bechtle’s technological expertise, service organisation and broad market reach,” says Georg Nusser, Managing Director of Kaut-Bullinger.
Patrick Schnizler, Managing Director of Bechtle Additive Manufacturing Deutschland, adds: “The acquisition marks an important step in further consolidating our position in the additive manufacturing market. The additional customer relationships, installed system base, and extensive application and service expertise significantly enhance our capabilities. At the same time, the acquisition is deepening our partnership with HP, enabling us to support customers even more comprehensively across the entire industrial 3D printing value chain.”
Uwe Burk, Executive Vice President PLM | Engineering & Manufacturing, Bechtle AG: “Additive manufacturing is a strategic growth area for Bechtle. As we continue to strengthen our leading position in Europe, broaden our market presence across the DACH region and expand into selected European markets, the expansion of our HP 3D printing business marks an important next step.”
