Neckarsulm, 28 October 2026 – With a change of CEO taking effect on 1 January 2027, Bechtle is strengthening its leadership structure by creating the new role of Senior Executive Vice President International. Dr Martin Kaloudis will take responsibility for Bechtle’s international markets, the Bechtle International Division (BID) and the International Operations Holding. He will also assume significant parts of the remit currently held by Konstantin Ebert, COO and designated CEO of Bechtle AG. Dr Martin Kaloudis will report to COO Michael Guschlbauer, who will retain direct responsibility for Germany, Bechtle’s largest economic region, and the Austrian market. The new structure is designed to bring Bechtle’s national and international market organisations closer together, supporting the group-wide implementation of its omnichannel strategy. Bechtle has also appointed an internal successor to take over Dr Martin Kaloudis’ current responsibilities. From 1 January 2027, Jürgen Schäfer will assume the role of Executive Vice President Central & West Germany, with responsibility for 19 Bechtle Group locations across North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, as well as an office in Berlin.
“Dr Martin Kaloudis brings extensive experience in leading complex organisations and driving successful transformation programmes. His international perspective, strategic insight and ability to translate strategy into action make him the ideal choice for this key role,” says Konstantin Ebert, COO of Bechtle AG.
Born in 1971, Dr Martin Kaloudis, who holds a doctorate in business mathematics, joined Bechtle in April 2023 and currently serves as Executive Vice President Central & West Germany. He previously spent more than 20 years in senior IT roles at Deutsche Bahn AG. Before joining Bechtle, he was CEO and Chairman of the Board of BWI GmbH, the IT systems integrator of the German Federal Armed Forces and an IT service centre for the German federal government. In addition, Dr Martin Kaloudis is a professor of business informatics at AKAD University Stuttgart, focusing on the digital sovereignty of systems and states as well as cybersecurity.
Jürgen Schäfer, 50, will succeed Dr Martin Kaloudis as Executive Vice President Central & West Germany on 1 January 2027. He joined Bechtle in July 2026 and currently supports group-wide transformation and optimisation initiatives in the newly created role of Director Operational Excellence. Prior to joining Bechtle, he spent 16 years with the Deutsche Telekom Group, including 13 years at T-Systems, where he held a range of leadership positions in transformation and business controlling. Most recently, he served as CEO of the consulting firm Detecon International GmbH. His earlier career also included a spell at management consultancy Roland Berger.
“Jürgen Schäfer combines strategic thinking with the ability to turn ideas into results. He has extensive experience in transforming organisations and has quickly proven himself at Bechtle. This makes him ideally suited to lead Central & West Germany, one of our most important regions,” says Michael Guschlbauer, COO of Bechtle AG.
With these appointments, Bechtle is evolving its leadership structure to support its continued international growth and strengthening collaboration across countries and organisational boundaries.
