When Metten Fleischwaren wanted to make its IT fit for the future and prepare the network for cloud applications, the company set out to find a suitable solution. A centrally manageable network, simple administration and a stable connection were particularly important to Metten. With the new network, Metten wanted to use cloud applications such as Microsoft 365 efficiently and prepare projects such as Network Access Control (NAC). Optimized network management was needed to create a suitable and powerful basis for this.

Solution.
Bechtle supported Metten Fleischwaren with a tailor-made solution consisting of modern HPE Aruba switches and the central management system HPE Aruba Central. After a detailed analysis of the existing infrastructure, Bechtle developed a scalable network architecture that utilizes the existing cabling in a resource-saving manner and is tailored precisely to the requirements of Metten Fleischwaren. To this end, Bechtle installed and configured HPE Aruba switches in both plants and set up HPE Aruba Central so that the entire network can now be monitored and centrally controlled in real time. Firmware updates and configurations can be efficiently managed and quickly rolled out via the central dashboard, which significantly simplifies IT operations and makes the network more flexible overall. The new network structure also forms the basis for future projects such as the introduction of Network Access Control (NAC) with ClearPass for secure device authentication. With this stable and flexible solution, Metten Fleischwaren is ideally positioned to use cloud applications efficiently and to centrally manage the network infrastructure for the company's 1,000 clients.
