Three locations, one goal—a powerful, standard Wi-Fi that works seamlessly—from production robots to meeting rooms for Teams telephony and real-time communication. ARaymond Germany wanted an holistic system for modern communication across its three industrial campuses. From high-rack warehouses to management and development—everything needed to be optimally covered and expandable.

It’s better to plan and implement everything once and for all than trying to solve issues on a case by case basis and make step by step improvements. This had become the unfortunate reality, however, over the past few years as the topic of Wi-Fi had not been prioritised. With Bechtle, our long-term partner, we were able to come up with a great concept that encompassed our full-range of requirements like Voice over Wi-Fi, a driverless transport system, internal mobility and Industry 4.0. From project planning and execution to completion, we were always able to depend on their expertise and always felt in good hands with Bechtle.

Solution.

In Bechtle, ARaymond found the right expertise—both for well-designed, modern Wi-Fi and migration of telecommunications infrastructures to collaboration solutions like Microsoft Teams. Once they’d analysed the current situation, the specialists clearly recommended setting up a network built for Voice over Wi-Fi—with Cisco components straight from the Cisco Gold Partner. And with the necessary lateral knowledge of networking, enterprise Wi-Fi and Uc/collaboration solutions. Bechtle visited all campuses, their experts digitally capturing every corner of the spaces with Ekahau AI Pro software. The team covered some 200 kilometres—from the warehouse to halls and offices. Every wall, every machine and every issue was documented to create a precise WLAN plan. Best of all, every hall was treated as a standalone project with its own site survey, time plan, and schedule. This created a clearly structured, standardised overall systems with Cisco technology in all German locations—with the best Teams telephony and real-time communication. Some 300 access points were or are being installed. Raynet took care of installation—Bechtle coordinated, supplied the technology, and kept things on schedule. At regular intervals, schedules were adjusted, standard defined and decisions made—and always together. The result—well designed, performative Wi-Fi for everything the future brings.
