IaaS – Infrastructure as a Service.
What does Bechtle offer for IaaS? Quite simply: everything.
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is a cloud computing model that allows organisations to access IT resources over the internet, eliminating the need for upfront hardware investment, with costs billed on a pay‑as‑you‑go basis based on actual usage. In the IaaS space, Bechtle offers everything that mid-sized businesses and large enterprises need – from hyperscaler solutions and services from European cloud providers to our own private cloud, delivered from Germany. Our portfolio covers both virtualised resources – such as servers, storage and networking delivered directly via the internet – and local, consumption-based hardware as a service through partners such as HPE GreenLake or Dell APEX.
A broad portfolio – From hyperscalers to digital sovereignty.
We support a wide range of virtualised infrastructure scenarios. If you want to source IaaS from a hyperscaler’s public cloud, No problem! We take care of migration and manage day‑to‑day operations through our Managed Services. If GDPR compliance and digital sovereignty are key requirements, we support these through Germany‑hosted Bechtle Cloud Services (BCS) or Managed Services for customers of European providers such as IONOS, OVHcloud and STACKIT, covering operations and security.
Benefits of IaaS with Bechtle:
Consumption‑based IaaS
tailored to fit your requirements.
GDPR compliance and digital sovereignty
e.g. through Bechtle Cloud Services.
Access to hyperscalers

Hyperscaler IaaS solutions with expert guidance.
With Bechtle, you gain direct access to hyperscaler IaaS solutions. Whether AWS, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure, we ensure seamless integration of leading cloud services into your IT infrastructure. Our approach is aligned with your current cloud maturity—from the first steps to advanced cloud environments.
We provide vendor‑neutral consulting to identify the IaaS solution that best fits your requirements, and take care of implementation and ongoing operations. Our close partnerships with hyperscalers give us early insight into new services, which we integrate purposefully into your cloud environment. From optimised resource utilisation to secure data strategies, we support you across all cloud and IaaS‑related challenges.
GDPR compliance and digital sovereignty – IaaS solutions from Europe.
Security, data protection and compliance are decisive factors for many organisations, particularly in regulated industries or where strict internal governance requirements apply. Bechtle reinforces digital sovereignty through IaaS solutions from European providers such as IONOS, OVHcloud and STACKIT. Data is handled in accordance with GDPR requirements and remains in European data centres, ensuring it is subject to European jurisdiction. As a Germany‑based IT partner, we help you retain full control over your IaaS infrastructure, with operations and security managed in line with your compliance requirements.
With Bechtle IaaS solutions, organisations can source flexible, cost‑efficient IT infrastructure on a consumption‑based model. Our broad portfolio spans hyperscalers as well as GDPR‑compliant, sovereign solutions from Germany and across Europe. Through Managed Services, we also cover operations and security, enabling organisations to focus on their core business.

Bechtle Cloud Services – A secure IaaS solution from Germany.
Bechtle Cloud Services (BCS) deliver a secure and flexible private cloud, hosted entirely in Germany. The service is designed for organisations that require a high level of data protection and control over their cloud infrastructure. BCS is an IaaS offering that provides organisations with a software‑defined data centre (SDDC) for running virtual machines and containers, meaning you retain full control and strengthen your digital sovereignty – even when you rely on our experts to run it as a managed service to ease the load on your in‑house IT team.
Bechtle Cloud Services are hosted in NTT Global Data Centers located in the Rhine‑Main region. The C5 attestation (Cloud Computing Compliance Controls Catalogue) confirms that Bechtle meets the requirements defined by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) for operating cloud services. In addition, Bechtle operates multiple data centres across Europe, enabling local redundancy and geo‑redundancy in line with BSI recommendations, which specify a minimum distance of 200 kilometres between data centre locations.
IT as a Service – Hardware and services in one package.
Markets evolve quickly, and IT needs to scale in line with changing business requirements. With Bechtle’s consumption‑based IT offering, organisations can source IT resources flexibly and cost‑efficiently, based on actual demand. The offering brings together operational support and hardware resources, delivered on‑premises, in a colocation data centre or as part of a hybrid setup. A central management console provides full visibility, enabling teams to configure, monitor and manage resources. This approach reduces upfront hardware investment, supports flexible scaling and includes maintenance provided by the vendor. At the same time, local deployment options help meet data‑protection and compliance requirements. As with typical cloud services, billing follows a pay‑as‑you‑go model. Bechtle delivers services in collaboration with partners such as Dell APEX and HPE GreenLake.

Frequently asked questions about Infrastructure-as-a-Service.
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is a cloud computing model that allows organisations to access IT infrastructure such as servers, storage and networking over the internet. Instead of investing in their own hardware, they only pay for the resources they actually use on a pay-as-you-go basis, enabling fast scalability, greater flexibility and a reduced burden on internal IT. Through Bechtle, organisations gain access to a broad IaaS portfolio ranging from hyperscalers to sovereign cloud solutions in Germany and across Europe.
Bechtle provides a comprehensive IaaS portfolio for both mid-sized and large enterprises, including public cloud solutions from hyperscalers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, as well as European providers like IONOS, OVHcloud and STACKIT. This is complemented by Bechtle Cloud Services (BCS), a private cloud solution hosted in German data centres, while additional managed services support migration, ongoing operations and vendor-independent consulting.
Digital sovereignty and data protection are critical considerations for many organisations, which is why Bechtle offers GDPR-compliant IaaS solutions from Germany and across Europe. With Bechtle Cloud Services (BCS), data remains in German data centres and is subject exclusively to European legislation, while European IaaS providers ensure that there is no access by non-European authorities. At the same time, managed services help ensure secure operations and support compliance with regulatory and security requirements.
Bechtle Cloud Services (BCS) are a private cloud-based IaaS solution hosted in Germany, providing a software-defined data centre (SDDC) for virtual machines and containers that is flexible, secure and compliant with data protection requirements. This makes them particularly well suited to organisations with high demands around security, compliance and control over their data, while fully managed operation helps reduce the workload on internal IT teams, with all services hosted in high-security German data centres.
While traditional IaaS solutions focus on delivering virtualised resources from the cloud, IT as a Service extends this by combining hardware and services in a usage-based model. Bechtle’s consumption-based IT solutions allow server and storage infrastructure to be used on-prem, in colocation data centres or in hybrid environments, while offerings such as Dell APEX or HPE GreenLake provide flexible scaling, transparent costs and eliminate high upfront investment, with maintenance and operations included.
