Bechtle receives award as Highest Invested Partner in the EMEA region from VMware / Bechtle also recognised for the best Solution Deal - End User Computing / Bechtle distinguished for competence in virtualisation.
Neckarsulm/Copenhagen, 13 November 2010 — Bechtle’s Competence Centre for virtualisation won two of ten VMware awards over some strong competition in the EMEA region. With the awards, the leading supplier of virtual infrastructure software recognises Bechtle’s expertise in the field of virtualisation and the best approach to client virtualisation. The awards were presented at VMworld in Copenhagen, which was attended by 1,600 partners. Michael Guschlbauer, COO IT System House & Managed Services at Bechtle AG, and Roland König, Head of Virtualisation, were at the event to accept the awards. This is the sixth time in one year that Bechtle has received an award for the company’s efforts in the field of virtualisation.
Decisive factors in receiving top honours were the comprehensive technical skills, the high level of certification, and the high quality of virtualisation solutions that Bechtle has developed for its customers. With an outstanding 890 points for certifications and training of its specialists, Bechtle is now Highest Invested Partner, easily outstripping the runner up with 600 points. Bechtle has 117 VMware Certified Professionals, 181 VMware Sales Professionals and 82 VMware Technical Sales Professionals.
Bechtle was also able to present the best client virtualisation solution, earning the company the award for Solution Deal — End User Computing. To this end, Bechtle’s system house in Munich offers special virtualisation scenarios. The company’s in-house computer centre enables live demonstrations of virtually all products from VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, Datacore, Veeam, Appsence, and Cisco, including cloud solutions — an offer, which is unique in Germany. In addition to consultation and implementation services, Bechtle offers its customers technical support on site.
“Bechtle sees virtualisation as one of the key technologies in the coming years — especially with respect to its importance for cloud services. We have made substantial investments to keep pace with developments in the field. The awards confirm the excellent level of certification of our employees. At the same time, they encourage us to optimise our portfolio further so that we can hold our pole position”, says Michael Guschlbauer.
