Neckarsulm, 8 March 2013 – Bechtle received the Global Partner Award in the category “Infrastructure Virtualisation Competency Partner of the Year” at VMware 2013 Partner Exchange event, held on 26 February in Las Vegas, USA. Roland König, head of the virtualisation division at Bechtle AG, accepted the award, which signals VMware's recognition of Bechtle's high level of competency in the field of virtualisation.
VMware, the world's leading provider of virtual infrastructure software, held the event under the motto “Take Charge”. Awards were handed out to the company's virtualisation and cloud technology partners in 19 different categories for their excellent performance and outstanding successes of the last business year.
Over 600 Certified Specialists.
One of the deciding factors for receiving this distinction was Bechtle's high certification rates, with over 600 employees certified as VSPs, VTSPs and VCPs. The company's specialists are qualified in all core competencies of the VMware portfolio. “We are pleased to recognise the outstanding achievements made in 2012 by members of the VMware partner ecosystem, particularly those partners serving our global customers,” said Colleen Kapase, Senior Director of Partner Readiness at VMware. She also underlined Bechtle's superior performance, including the conclusion of the first and largest worldwide Enterprise Purchasing Program contract. In addition, Bechtle implemented a private vCloud Suite solution on 500 virtual machines. Roland König accepted the award in Las Vegas from Pat Gelsinger, CEO of VMware, and Carl Eschenbach, President and COO of VMware. “With our high degree of specialisation and through the continuous training and certification of our employees, we have succeeded in obtaining the highest level of partnership with VMware.
