Updating to Windows 11: a question of security!

Support for Windows 10 will end in a year’s time, so you should start working on the switch to Windows 11 now; it could take months. If you don’t update in time, you risk security vulnerabilities, delivery bottlenecks as well as compliance and operational issues.

Updating to Windows 11: a question of security!

Support for Windows 10 ends in October, so you should start working on the switch to Windows 11 now; it could take months. If you don’t update in time, you risk security vulnerabilities, delivery bottlenecks as well as compliance and operational issues.

If you use Windows 10 then you should act now!

If you are responsible for IT in a business or public administration, you should mark 14 October 2025 in red on your calendar. On this date, Windows 10 will be ‘retired’ because Microsoft will stop providing technical support for the old operating system, including important security updates and support for Microsoft 365. It is therefore important to upgrade to Windows 11 early! Organisations that miss this step or take it too late risk significant security, compliance and operational problems.

These problems arise
from an unpatched Windows 10:

Hacker or hacker attack Icon

Security and compliance risks.

Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates after the end of support. The outdated operating system thus becomes a security risk and can lead to GDPR violations.

Electrical-Operating-Room Icon

No more manufacturer support.

Many hardware and software manufacturers will discontinue support for Windows 10 systems after 2025. Among other things, this affects business applications, cloud solutions and security products.

Operations Monitoring Icon

Problems with drivers and compatibility.

In the medium term, new hardware will no longer come with drivers for Windows 10. Even existing business software will gradually stop supporting Windows 10.

Updating to Windows 11 can take months!

Switching to Windows 11 can take a long time. Depending on the size of the company, a migration project of this scale can take up to 12 months. What’s more, Windows 11 does not run on older devices and has certain hardware requirements. Because many companies will need to update their operating system, there is a risk of bottlenecks with hardware supplies and IT service providers. That’s why you should tackle your migration to Windows 11 now!
