IT service provider offers user support for creating private clouds with integrated infrastructures from EMC, Cisco and VMware.
Neckarsulm, 1 December 2010 — Bechtle is now a member of the German Virtual Computing Environment coalition (VCE) from EMC, Cisco and VMware. With the addition of the VCE’s Vblock infrastructure packages to its portfolio, the IT service provider can offer its clients expert consultation on the planning and implementation of Vblock-based private cloud infrastructures.
Bechtle offers three different Vblock configurations. These integrated and flexible turnkey packages comprise virtualisation software from VMware, unified networking and computing equipment from Cisco, as well as EMC’s storage, security, and management technology. Vblocks support a variety of operating systems and applications and facilitate the simple migration of all applications to a Vblock architecture to achieve end-to-end virtualisation in the computer centre.
“Cloud computing solutions like the Vblock infrastructure packages add significant flexibility and cost transparency to IT provisioning”, explains Roland König, head of virtualisation, and managing director of Bechtle’s Munich/Regensburg IT system house. “Above all, our solution partnership with the VCE coalition benefits our customers, who can reduce their operating costs with cloud services.”

With this step, the company furthers its renowned expertise in virtualisation, following its earlier certification in the field of unified computing. We congratulate Bechtle on this achievement. Adding the compact computer centre solution, Vblock, to their portfolio, Bechtle is tapping into new and growing markets, including private cloud solutions.”
