Neckarsulm/Dusseldorf, 4 December 2015 – German textile retailer Walbusch has commissioned Bechtle to operate its IT at 44 locations over the next three years. The contract is with Bechtle’s Dusseldorf branch and includes remote maintenance of 200 IT systems via a central help desk, in addition to on-site maintenance and support services for end devices. SLA-based on-call availability guarantees fast and reliable response times. Walbusch is also working with Bechtle to further develop the company’s overall IT strategy.
The backbone of Walbusch’s IT is a tailored service strategy that reduces the number of contact points, shortens response times and guarantees the required service levels. Bechtle’s central user help desk is responsible for providing remote system maintenance, while service technicians with in-depth knowledge of Walbusch’s IT environment are available to provide on-site support at short notice if problems arise.
Highly efficient processes.
”We were impressed with Bechtle’s proposal to operate the IT of our 44 shops throughout Germany. They demonstrated an excellent understanding of our processes and offered tailored services that can be adapted at any time to meet changing needs. If the IT or POS system goes down in one of our shops, we need to be in a position to remedy the problem quickly to guarantee smooth day-to-day operations. With locations close to all of our shops offering 365-day access to exceptional skill and knowledge, Bechtle was an obvious choice for us,” explains Ralf Seggering, CIO at Walbusch.
A partnership of equals.
Bechtle will be supporting the clothing company in other IT areas as well. By pursuing a strategic partnership with Bechtle and implementing cutting-edge technology, Walbusch aims to take its customers’ shopping experience to new heights. “Walbusch, like Bechtle Dusseldorf, is a strong, mid-sized company built on tradition and with a bright future. We’re pleased to be embarking on this partnership and gratified by the confidence that Walbusch’s management has placed in our skills and capabilities,” comments Holger Hartwig, Managed Services Sales Director at Bechtle Dusseldorf.
