Neckarsulm, 25 February 2016 – Bechtle AG has forged two new partnerships in Latin America as part of its Global IT Alliance. The first partner, Compucentro, is headquartered in Mexico City. Founded in 1989, it employs some 150 people and earned $45m in revenue in 2015. Bechtle’s second new partnership is with Brazilian firm Microware, established in 1984. In 2015 the IT service provider, which has offices in Brasilia, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, generated approximately $50m with 130 employees serving customers throughout the country.
Through the addition of Microware, Bechtle’s Global IT Alliance (GITA) is now also represented in Latin America. Bechtle has already entered the North American market through its partnership with US firm PC Connection, launched in 2014. “On a strategic level, our network has taken an important step forward in partnering with Microware in Brazil and Compucentro in Mexico. We are now in a position to serve customers further south in the Americas. These companies are an ideal addition to our Alliance, which includes partners in the USA, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and South Africa,” explains Jürgen Schäfer, Executive Board Member, responsible for the IT E-Commerce Segment. The Alliance’s cooperation agreements do more than just bridge time zones, language barriers and currency differences. “They also ensure our customers benefit from unique cultural IT supply-chain knowledge, reliable, consistently high-quality service and access to a broad portfolio,” continues James Napp, Managing Director of Bechtle direct UK and Bechtle’s GITA director. All GITA partners are carefully vetted and selected by Bechtle in close cooperation with vendor partners.

In 1999 Microware established an international division responsible for attending the unique needs and constraints of global companies deploying IT projects in Brazil.
