Do I have to enter my two‑factor authentication code every time I log in?

IN A NUTSHELL

You only need to enter the two‑factor authentication (2FA) code once per browser within a 24‑hour period, provided functional cookies are accepted. If you sign in from a trusted browser, you will not be asked for a code again.

Two-factor authentication: How it works

Prerequisite

Functional cookies must be enabled for two‑factor authentication.

Entering the code

You’ll be prompted for the code after signing in.
With functional cookies enabled, the code is required only once per browser in a 24‑hour window.
You can choose to trust a browser so it won’t ask for the code again.

Trusted browsers

You do not have to enter a code when you have saved the browser as trusted.
There is no limit to the number of browsers you can add to your trusted list.
