Do I have to enter my two‑factor authentication code every time I log in?

IN A NUTSHELL

You only need to enter the two‑factor authentication (2FA) code once per browser within a 24‑hour period, provided functional cookies are accepted. If you sign in from a trusted browser, you will not be asked for a code again.

Two-factor authentication: How it works

Prerequisite

Functional cookies must be enabled for two‑factor authentication.

Entering the code

  • You’ll be prompted for the code after signing in.
  • With functional cookies enabled, the code is required only once per browser in a 24‑hour window.
  • You can choose to trust a browser so it won’t ask for the code again.

Trusted browsers

  • You do not have to enter a code when you have saved the browser as trusted.

  • There is no limit to the number of browsers you can add to your trusted list.

Please note

  • Review your trusted browsers regularly to keep your account secure.
  • Only trust browsers on devices you consider safe.
