Is two‑factor authentication (2FA) mandatory?

IN A NUTSHELL

Two‑factor authentication (2FA) is currently optional. While it improves account security, it is not mandatory.

Pre-requisites and options

  • 2FA is available to all users.
  • Activating it is voluntary.

If you can’t access your 2FA method anymore

  • You can reset 2FA in your user account.
  • Alternatively, contact Bechtle for help restoring access.

Benefits of two‑factor authentication

  • Increased account security.
  • Protection against unauthorised access, even if your password is compromised

Please note

Using 2FA is recommended, but not mandatory.
