NIS2 – The facts.
Avoid sanctions. NIS2 is an EU directive that had to be implemented into national law by 17 October 2024. As things stand (25/09/2024), Germany is lagging slightly behind and doesn’t expect it to come into effect until March 2025.
Every part of the business—from management and organisation, processes and technologies—is affected.
NIS2 will also impact a host of new industries as well as any company with 50+ employees which is seen as essential to the economy or society.
In the face of an exponential rise in cybercrime, NIS2 is critical for laying the foundations for economic security in our digital world, which is why companies shouldn’t view it as an obstacle, but an opportunity. It is economically advantageous for a company to show its ecosystem and in particular its customers that it has taken steps to protect its data, expertise, business and customers.
