Companies can choose from three Google Workspace editions, the main differences being in security and admin.
The basic version includes all key applications for business collaboration. Cloud storage for data is 30GB.
The Business Edition offers unlimited cloud storage in addition to the applications Cloud Search and App Maker. There are also more admin and security features.
The premium version comes with all apps and solutions of the Business Edition. What’s special here are the additional security and admin features like protection against data loss, company-specific access control with enforcement of security keys, Gmail protocol analysis in BigQuery, verification reports to record user activities and Cloud Identity Premium—a platform for identity, access, application, and endpoint management.
Best of all, all three editions include mobile device management for Android, iOS and Windows smartphones plus 24/7 phone, e-mail, and online support.
Google Workspace provides you with a highly-available and secure solution for your business. All applications feature an integrated spam blocker and virus scanner as standard. Additionally, all data uploaded to the Google Drive benefit from 128 bit encryption (Advanced Encryption Standard). The Enterprise version features additional security and management features to make Google Workspace even more secure.
In order to fulfil the strict requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), customers can conclude their own EU model contract clauses and data processing options with Google. In contrast to Google’s free applications, Google Workspace content is not scanned and evaluated for marketing purposes.
